Paul Bangay in Conversation

  • The Pavilion, Carrick Hill 46 Carrick Hill Drive Springfield, South Australia, 5062 Australia (map)

Hear Paul Bangay, Australia’s most revered garden designer in conversation with Michael Keelan.

With close to forty years' experience, Paul Bangay is a true plantsman and designer known for his mastery of scale, balance, form and colour. His projects and clients are wide-ranging and his talks are always in demand. Be early to secure your ticket to hear Michael Keelan interview one of the world’s most sought-after landscape designers who will share with you his deeply personal and evocative new book: Diary of an English Garden.

For decades, Paul has looked to the great gardens of England as both touchstone and inspiration - their structure and grandeur shaping his own celebrated work. In this intimate new volume, he finally finds a cottage in the Cotswolds ready for bold reinvention. The evocative new book comes in two glorious parts:

• Part I: Intimate diary entries with pictures from Paul's private iPhone archives

• Part II: The garden across the seasons with jaw dropping photography

The edition features gilded gold edges, gold foiling, two ribbons, multiple paper stocks and original linocut artworks throughout.

(Copies of the book at $90 can be made when booking your ticket and collected at the event. Books and refreshments are available for purchase on the day)

This Friends of Carrick Hill event is in conjunction with Dillons Bookshop and T&H Publishers.
